About Leigh Campbell
Leigh McPhail Campbell has been a successful medical illustrator, animator, and graphic artist since she began her career in 1999. Leigh has developed content for over 142 websites as well as numerous presentations, books, manuscripts and e-learning modules.

Leigh received her Masters of Science Degree in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia in 1999. This specialized training at one of the nation’s top schools for medical illustration helped her build upon her undergraduate degree in scientific illustration.

Leigh’s gift for understanding the needs of her clients and translating that understanding into outstanding work product was first evident when she worked as a staff Medical Illustrator for Adam.com. While at Adam.com she developed projects like The Health Encyclopedia, featured on WebMD and Medlineplus. Leigh formed Leigh Campbell Studios in 2000, where she creates medical illustrations for clients that include: Custom Learning Designs, CMR Institute, Emory University, Harvard Medical School, The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Nestle, Pfizer, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Athenahealth, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and numerous medical-legal clients. Leigh’s illustrations are primarily digital, with expertise using Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash.

Her recent work has focused on eLearning, curriculum design, and learning system modules, all of which use illustration and animation to convey difficult medical concepts to both the lay public and medical professionals alike. Leigh also excels in Fine Art and has been doing commissioned fine art for over 16 years. Leigh and her husband Ross live in Athens, GA.

When Leigh is not working on illustrations or animations, she is usually found riding her horse or teaching her son Aidan to ride.
